Serving the city of Napa and the county of Napa, Napa Recycling & Waste Services is actively rolling out compliant carts to meet the new organic recovery requirements. In 2020, the facility was fully upgraded to a state-of-the-art covered aerated static pile (CASP) system, including organic pre-processing and stormwater upgrades. The facility processes 100,000 tons of food waste, green waste and grape pomace, and generates 20,000 tons of compost annually.
