Serving the county of Santa Clara and the city of San Jose, Zero Waste Energy Development Company processes over 90,000 tons of food waste and municipal solid waste annually at their anaerobic digestion facility. Through this process they generate 1.6 megawatts of renewable energy and produce over 20,000 tons of compost annually.
